Oh my god! Mixing Final Fantasy with a strategy game? What have you done?!? You've created an 'effin excellent game, that's what!

Final Fantasy Tactics is the story of the Lion Way, a war fought over a throne. Or is it the story of Ramza, the main character, as he tries to collect all of the Holy Stones in order to topple the evil church? Either way, the story's pretty good.

The best feature in Tactics, and this was a hard decision from such an excellent game, is the abilities system. You earn job points in battle, which you then use to purchase new abilities. The abilities are separated into 18 different classes. You can arm any character with up to two different classes at once.

While there are many great Strategy/RPGs out for the PS, FFT still stands out as a clear best. It's fun and takes a long time to complete. A very long time.
